Weekly World News!

Some genius past issues of “Weekly World News” with some shocking stories; my favourite - “Ancient Photo of Jesus Found!” and “Half-Human, Half-Aligator Eats Miami Man!”…..Karl Pilkington would be in his element!

CHEEKIE BOTTOMSART DOLLS BY KARLY PEREZ
Whilst browsing on Etsy, these incredible art dolls by Karly Perez caught my eye. They remind me a little of Marina Bychkova’s Enchanted Dolls. They have the same aesethic appeal to me; the intriguing alien look and the beautiful sadness in their little doll eyes. Only these dolls aren’t porcelain and are actually very different.
These Art Dolls are sculpted with lightweight stone clay and are then sealed and painted with artist grade soft pastels. The dolls have glass eyes and Karly Perez hand stitches all the clothing herself, which she stains in coffee and cinnamon. The dress on the doll above was stained with apple cinnamon tea, giving it a slightly sweet smell.
The doll above is for sale here, at $300. You can look at some more of these dolls here.
Karly Perez also has a few dolls on sale at her Etsy store, which you can purchase here.
